Road to Public Benefits丨5 days and 4 nights, 1033km to be close to dream

After nearly a month, the documentary of young dreamer——S program has finally been released. When watching the documentary, we have so much to talk to the children. Now we invite you to review that adventure about dreams with us!

Initial dream

A month ago, we and the shooting team started for Changchun to welcome the 20 students who were going to study in Beijing. Like them, we were also curious, agitated, excited and expected……

Not only Beijing, but also the volunteers they were going to meet again (Some of our volunteers had communicated with the children in June 1) are familiar and unacquainted to them.

" What do you want to do most when you go to Beijing?" This is our first step into their hearts.

" I want to go inside Tian'anmen Rostrum"

" I want to pay my respect to Grandpa Mao (the founder of the People's Republic of China)"

" I want to visit the grand Tiananmen Square or Great Wall"

When it comes to Beijing, Grandpa Mao, Tian'anmen Rostrum, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall are their common expectations.

But for dreams, they are very different.

"My dream is to be an entrepreneur"

"My dream is to travel around the world"

" I want to be a wedding dress designer"

" I want to draw cartoons, and be a cartoonist"

So, we also expect that the trip to Beijing can better help children draw the outline of their dreams.

The Bravery

Before reaching the dreams, they met the first challenge: carsickness. Almost every day, they needed to take buses to various destinations, for example, from school to Changchun station, from Beijing station to residence, and the long way to the great wall, and carsickness became the first hurdle they had to overcome.

Then the heat. We looked for the few cool places under the flag pole of Tian'anmen Square in the hot sun, we experienced the never-ending heat wave of crowd in the Palace Museum, and gasped for breath in the sunny rain on the Great Wall. Would the high temperature of nearly 40 degrees make it closer to dreams?

Challenges seem to be the catalyst for them to move forward. So, for the first environmental protection handwork, oil painting crash course, drama experience, painting of facial makeup and other courses, children were not shy, but tried their best, and even surprised us.

We hope the brave spirit will never lose.

It's not important to win or lose

Challenge and happiness are endless.

In the fierce nametag ripping game, some people challenged a team alone, some fought with teams, there were lurk, sneak attack and so on. You made quick attack on single target, fast movement to surprise the enemy, rapid escape in face of team rivals, and emergency rescue when your teammates were confronted with "fighting".

On the football field, you warmed up together by lifting your legs and jumping in place with shoulder to shoulder. Do you still remember the slogan you shouted together? Do you still remember who managed to get the ball off your feet? Your sweat fell into the lawn, and in the photo on the playground, you all smiled very happy.

You may find that the thrill of winning a game or the disappointment of losing a game is becoming less clear, but the experience you once had together, the hard work, happiness or excitement last for a long time.

Yes, life is the same with ups and downs. Now the classmate fighting together with you may become a forever trustworthy friend.

So, give the winning or losing to time and just move on!
